The big question - how does one paint a zonkey? Here we have a depiction of what the Illini Zonkey should look like, assuming heavy reliance on spray paint!

You paint it the same way you would paint a car, with a paintbrush and roller.
This smacks of animal abuse. I frankly don't see what's funny.
